Javanese Elderly’s Responses of Stres Due to Neglect by Families: A Phenomenological Study

Elderly neglect is a global issue in the health sector. In terms of Javanese culture, elderly relates closely to relationship between parents and children. This kind shown by respect children their as form filial piety. Every child should have sense responsibility take care his future so that no parent will be neglected. Neglect happens for long time can cause negatif impacts, one them stress. The purpose this study was describe stress responses experienced due neglect. research method descriptive qualitative phenomenology. sample 7 elderlies who chosen purposive sampling technique. data were gathered interview guideline, field note, tape recorder.
